5 Tips to Flawless skin

1. Hydrate, Hydrate, Hydrate.

It is probably the most important task. Drinking at least 2L of water a day will help to flush out toxins from the body resulting in improving skin tone. Drinking water helps improve the elasticity in the skin and keeps your skin moisturised for longer. When the skin retains water it gives the skin that puffy look to protect your skin from dehydration.  The more hydrated you stay the less fine lines & wrinkles you will see.

2. Balanced diet

What happens on the inside of our body will show through our skin on the outside. It’s true what they say, you are what you eat. The right foods will give you a healthy glowing skin. People with great skin tend to include foods that are high in anti-oxidants such as tomatoes, oranges and berries. You can also include vitamins into your die. Limit the intake of salt & sugar. Sugar adds to the inflammation in your body. One way or another, everything you put into your body will at one point of another show up on your skin

3. Good skincare routine

It doesn’t have to be complex to be good. It just needs to be consistent. It is best advised to include a gentle cleanser and nourishing moisturiser. It is good to exfoliate twice a week to remove excess dead skin cells that have built up. Remember your SPF.

4. Cleanse your face before bed

While we sleep our skin is hard at work to repair itself. During the day our skin is exposed to all kinds of pollution, sweat and bacteria which can clogg the pores. Breakouts and acne are caused from the clogged pores. Our faces can also come into contact with bacteria harbouring items such as cell phone, gym equipment and other people. Thus you should wash your face before going to bed. You are committing a cardinal sin that will haunt you if you don’t.

5. SPF

Not only does applying sunscreen reduce wrinkles, but it also helps protect you from skin cancer The sun is a big factor when it comes to skin aging and as hyperpigmentation. Regardless what your race or gender is, you should apply a SPF of at least 30 every single day.
